PayPal Says US Customers Can Now Pay Global Merchants In Bitcoin

US PayPal customers can now pay for products and services worldwide with cryptocurrency. ??

"We think it is a transition point in the existence of cryptocurrencies, so they shift from an asset class most people buy, hold, and sell now, to a funding source you can use to conduct transactions in the real world at millions of merchants."

Confirming earlier rumors to Reuters, Schulman said:

“This is the first time you can seamlessly use cryptocurrencies in the same way as a credit card or a debit card inside your PayPal wallet.”

PayPal’s announcement came about a week after electric vehicle maker Tesla said it has started accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment for any of its products.
